Encouraging their love for the arts
Music at Regent International School is fully embedded into every aspect of school life. Our KS1 music lessons aspire to see all our students as musicians, equipping them with not only musical skills, but the basic skills needed to develop the whole-child: building self-esteem, confidence, collaborative and leadership skills enabling each child to achieve their potential. Our students follow a dynamic programme, in line with the British Curriculum, built upon activities such as: singing, movement, instrumental learning, performing, listening activities, composing and developing ensemble skills.
The performance arts have become an integral part of our programme at RIS with the introduction of our performing arts squads in KS2, and soon to be KS1. These art forms are delivered through our after school programme, once weekly, giving our students the opportunity to develop their performance skills in the different areas.
Our KS1 students have numerous opportunities to perform throughout the year in class assemblies, celebration assemblies, celebration of creativity mornings and as part of our school choirs. At RIS, we believe that music and the performing arts really do have the power to help shape lives.
Regent is an outstanding school
and provides an outstanding quality of education for pupils from three to 11 years
Very strong Curriculum with rich learning opportunities
that has an impact on the child's progress.
We learn to sing and to use our voices, to create and compose music.
We even have the opportunity to learn how to play different musical instruments. Our music teachers are very talented. They even taught some of us how to floss.
With an amazing senior leadership team and experienced educators,
a Regent education is interactive and collaborative – they truly make primary school a memorable experience.
My school feels like home.
I love coming to school every day.
Possibilities seem infinite at Regent.
There are no limits in my child’s imagination about what he can do. Children are encouraged to take chances, try anything and not be afraid.
The strong sense of community makes Regent more than just a great place for study,
it’s a great place to socialise and make new friends.
Regent has given my daughter a new start.
This school has encouraged her to gain confidence and to express herself despite mistakes. The teachers are always available to help and laugh with her.
