Preparing students for the unparalleled opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life
In the Primary Years, the curriculum continues to delve deeper on preparing children for the future, with greater emphasis on critical thinking and taking ownership of their learning. In Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 children are encouraged to spread their wings with an array of exciting, new experiences.
Regent is an outstanding school
and provides an outstanding quality of education for pupils from three to 11 years
Very strong Curriculum with rich learning opportunities
that has an impact on the child's progress.
We learn to sing and to use our voices, to create and compose music.
We even have the opportunity to learn how to play different musical instruments. Our music teachers are very talented. They even taught some of us how to floss.
With an amazing senior leadership team and experienced educators,
a Regent education is interactive and collaborative – they truly make primary school a memorable experience.
My school feels like home.
I love coming to school every day.
Possibilities seem infinite at Regent.
There are no limits in my child’s imagination about what he can do. Children are encouraged to take chances, try anything and not be afraid.
The strong sense of community makes Regent more than just a great place for study,
it’s a great place to socialise and make new friends.
Regent has given my daughter a new start.
This school has encouraged her to gain confidence and to express herself despite mistakes. The teachers are always available to help and laugh with her.
Excelling through practice and experience
At Regent, we endeavour to deliver the best possible education to all of our students, maximising progress for all students to ensure they fulfill their potential. Through our delivery of the English National Curriculum, we embed Thoughtful thinking techniques to develop children’s critical thinking abilities and understanding to a greater depth. Our Positive Education Curriculum supports children to develop key life skills which will be needed in an ever changing society, as well as providing consistent moral values to guide them on their journey.
Across Key Stage 2, we use a contextualised learning approach to deliver the Primary curriculum so that all pupils can understand why we learn, and how the key skills that are developed will prepare them for life after school. Topics such as Back to the Future, Black Gold and Ancient Egypt are embedded across the curriculum, including in specialist lessons such as French, Physical Education and Computing, to provide the children with an immersive experience.
At the end of Key Stage 2, we work closely with our affiliated Key Stage 3 Team, to provide a seamless transition as children move into Secondary. Through regular transition lessons by our Secondary colleagues, we work tirelessly to ensure all pupils and families feel supported as they make their next steps on their educational journey with Regent.
In core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science, standardised assessments show that most pupils’ attainment and progress in Key Stage 2 is in line with the England national averages and a large majority are achieving well above.
As inspected by the BSO, children make excellent progress in subjects of Computing, Science, Geography, Arabic & French, Art & Design, Design Technology, Music, Physical Education, Personal & Social Development (PSD) and Islamic Studies for Muslims.
Strong questioning, detailed feedback and plenaries support children in learning and enable them to think more deeply about their responses. Our sports facilities and resources enhance children’s participation in an outstanding range of sports and physical education activities.
