Applied Innovation - Regent International School | British Curriculum | Best School in Dubai
Key Stage 3: Applied Innovation
Industry-ready skills and aptitudes

The Applied Innovations Department aims to provide students with real-world digital skills, state-of-the-art provision and an authentically enriched curriculum that prepares students for a digital future, including developing industry 4.0 aptitudes and the grit needed to flourish in life.

Our students use high-quality technology resources to personalise learning, blending both traditional & modern methods of reading and writing & learning, whilst effectively accessing the latest software programmes. Students learn to maximise and personalise OneNote, Teams, Office365 and SharePoint to strengthen executive functioning skills and real-world tools to ensure their effective personal responsibility and success in their learning.

Computer Science deepens student’s knowledge on topics such as robotics, artificial intelligence, graphics, media, web development, Raspberry Pi computers, codeable electronics, and Python programming, preparing them for GCSE, future exams and Computer Science as a specialist subject in KS4.

In the XTeam Elite, students are called upon to innovate, invent & create; using STEAM & design thinking processes to create real-life solutions to problems both existing and those not yet know. They learn industry-ready prototyping. Greater leadership and responsibilities are required of them to apply learning innovatively that improves the world around them.

By the end of KS3, students are securely grounded with industry-ready skills and aptitudes and are ready to transition into KS4.
