Judged 'Outstanding' by BSO and 'Very Good' by the KHDA, we strive towards providing an environment of excellence for all
In our most recent British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection report we were judged to be “Outstanding”. Our last KHDA inspection resulted in a “Very Good” overall rating as well as “Very Good” ratings for the quality of our English, Math, and Science curriculum; the quality of our teaching and assessment techniques; and our leadership and management. We are proud to offer students an environment of consistent excellence, supported by our staff and teachers, and recognised by the KHDA and BSO.
Regent is an outstanding school
and provides an outstanding quality of education for pupils from three to 11 years
Very strong Curriculum with rich learning opportunities
that has an impact on the child's progress.
We learn to sing and to use our voices, to create and compose music.
We even have the opportunity to learn how to play different musical instruments. Our music teachers are very talented. They even taught some of us how to floss.
With an amazing senior leadership team and experienced educators,
a Regent education is interactive and collaborative – they truly make primary school a memorable experience.
My school feels like home.
I love coming to school every day.
Possibilities seem infinite at Regent.
There are no limits in my child’s imagination about what he can do. Children are encouraged to take chances, try anything and not be afraid.
The strong sense of community makes Regent more than just a great place for study,
it’s a great place to socialise and make new friends.
Regent has given my daughter a new start.
This school has encouraged her to gain confidence and to express herself despite mistakes. The teachers are always available to help and laugh with her.
Going from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’
Regent International School has a rich 26-year legacy of successful British Education in Dubai, and has been judged ‘Outstanding’ by British Schools Overseas (BSO) in their 2019-20 inspection. We are also delighted to announce that we have been rated ‘Very Good’ by the KHDA for the Academic Year 2018-19. This is a massive achievement for all the staff, students and parents at Regent International School.
This KHDA judgment is indicative of the full support we have received from all our families. We thank our Regent community for supporting us through the journey from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’. The Team has strived hard to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities for all pupils without losing sight of the PosEd ethos of the school.
From a whole school perspective, we are delighted that our students continue to make exceptional progress in English, Mathematics and Science. We have received further uplifts in the Primary phase with Learning Skills, Curriculum Design and Care, Guidance and Support now recognised as Outstanding across all year groups.
The BSO inspection is available to schools who are members of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). This inspection is very closely linked, in terms of framework and standards, to the inspection process carried out by Ofsted. BSO inspect British curriculum schools every three years. More so, the KHDA award of a ‘Very Good’ judgement is not based on a weeklong inspection. It takes the excellent efforts of our students, staff, parents, and governors over many months to achieve this – and we congratulate and thank them all. We will strive to not only maintain this high standard but to build on it and improve further.
KHDA DSIB Report | BSO Inspection Report

Learning is further enhanced by teaching that sets challenging tasks and stimulates thoughtful discussion and critical thinking.”
“Students’ critical thinking, independence in learning, and investigative skills are extremely well developed. Very high levels of student achievement have been maintained in English, mathematics and science, as demonstrated by exceptional performance in externally benchmarked international tests.”
The Regent education extends well beyond the boundaries defined by the curriculum. Our Positive Education philosophy promotes all-round spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of children and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
